LTO REVOKES NIÑO MUHLACH’S DRIVER’S LICENSE

THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) has imposed a two-year revocation of the driver’s license of actor Niño Muhlach.

The order was issued after the actor got involved in an accident on Marcos Highway on Aug. 23 which resulted in the damage of at least three establishments.

An investigation showed that Muhlach was severely exhausted before losing control of the vehicle he was driving, which resulted in it crashing into three establishments.

LTO chief Markus Lacanilao said reckless driving and improper operation of a motor vehicle were the basis for the revocation of Muhlach’s driver’s license.

“Seryoso ang LTO sa pagpapatupad ng batas-trapiko, lalo na sa mga paglabag na maaaring magdulot ng panganib sa ibang gumagamit ng kalsada. Ipatutupad natin ang kaukulang kaparusahan batay sa resulta ng imbestigasyon at pagdinig, anuman ang katayuan ng sangkot,” Lacanilao said in a statement.

The LTO chief added that Muhlach’s vehicle will remain  under alarm status to ensure the enforcement of the imposed penalty and prevent it from engaging in any activities while the directive remains in effect.
