POLICE arrested a man who broke into a house and stole cash and gadget worth over P100,000 on Monday in Mariveles, Bataan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Bataan police said the complainant was Ariel Laygo, 41, of Bgy. Batangas II, Mariveles, Bataan.
Laygo told police that a man entered his house by destroying the door knob at the backdoor.
The suspect carted away a cellphone and cash worth at least P109,509.47.
In a follow-up police operation with the help of Bgy. Batangas II officer Armando Dimaculangan who reveiwed the CCTV, they identified and arrested the suspect.
Members of the Mariveles police and barangay officials recovered from the suspect the cellphone and cash money amounting to P11,863, and a Cebuana ATM card, where the suspect claimed he deposited part of the stolen P22,900 cash.
The arrested suspect is in the custody of the Mariveles police for filing of appropriate charges.
