POLICE on Thursday arrested a sound system operator following the confiscation from him of over P1 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Limay, Bataan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Bataan police acting director Col. Marites Salvadora identified the suspect as alias “Anin,” 28, of Bgy. Reformista, Limay, Bataan.
Members of the Limay Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and the Bataan Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit conducted an entrapment on the suspect.
The suspect was caught in the act of selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative.
Seized were at least 175 grams of shabu worth P1,190,000.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspect.
“Our relentless campaign against both street-level pushers and high-value drug personalities will continue with full force, as we work toward our ultimate goal — a drug-free province where every community can thrive in peace and safety,” Salvadora said.
