POLICE are conducting an in-depth investigation into the killing of a 26-year-old man in his home in Tarlac City.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., the Tarlac police identified the victim as Kenneth Velez, of Sitio Tañedo, Bgy. Aguso, Tarlac City.
Initial probe showed that a witness heard someone knocking on the victim’s door and then saw men enter the house.
Minutes later, the witness heard the victim asking for help followed by four gun shots.
Three men wearing facemasks were seen hurriedly leaving the victim’s house.
Responding personnel of the Tarlac City police found the lifeless body of the victim.
Authorities are reviewing the CCTV footage in the area for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
