CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) posted significant accomplishments in November with the arrest of suspects on the regional top most wanted persons’ list within the first four days of the month considered one of the fastest manhunt milestones recorded in Central Luzon this year.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. said tracker teams deployed across the region successfully tracked down and arrested every target from November 1 to 4, showcasing effective coordination, intelligence-driven operations, and swift response by police units.
He said that from November 1 to 30, PRO3 launched 724 anti-illegal drug operations that led to the arrest of 1,077 drug suspects and the seizure of an estimated P25.3 million worth of illegal drugs.
The seizure included the 3,676.116 grams of shabu valued at P24,997,588.80 and 1,390.774 grams of marijuana worth P166,892.88.
PRO3 also reported strong results in its campaign against wanted persons, arresting 655 individuals composed of 468 other wanted persons and 187 most wanted felons.
The provinces of Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, and Pampanga recorded the highest number of arrests.
In the intensified campaign against loose firearms, PRO3 accounted for 266 firearms through confiscations, arrests, and voluntary surrenders, resulting in 140 suspects arrested and 138 cases filed in court.
Aligned with its commitment to integrity and professionalism, PRO3 further strengthened its internal cleansing program in November.
Peñones said that 17 personnel were dismissed, 14 suspended, and five demoted for various administrative violations.
“The arrest of all Regional MWPs in just four days and our continued strong performance reflect the unwavering dedication of our personnel to maintain peace and order,” Peñones said.
“Hindi natin titigilan ang paghuli sa mga kriminal at hindi natin sila hahayaang makapagtago sa batas. At the same time, our intensified internal cleansing shows that we demand accountability even within our own ranks,” he added.
