PALAUIG, Zambales – Joint operatives arrested a most wanted illegal recruiter in an operation in Bgy. Bulawen, this municipality.
Criminal Investigatio and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 3 chief Col. Grant Gollod identified the suspect as alias “Mon,” 44.
The suspect, tagged by the Police Regional Office 4A as most wanted person, was caught on Sampaguita St. in Bgy. Bulawen.
“Mon” was arrested based on a warrant issued on December 9 by the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Bacoor, Cavite for syndicated illegal recruitment.
According to investigators, the suspect, who worked as a Korean language teacher in 2022, allegedly acted as an agent for a recruitment agency.
“Mon” reportedly recruited one of his students for overseas work in Korea as a farmer, collecting fees and requiring documents.
The deployment, however, never happened, prompting the victim to file a complaint against him and others involved.
The arrest was carried out by operatives of the CIDG Zambales Provincial Field Unit (PFU)as lead unit, Bacoor police, Provincial Intelligence Unit Zambales Police Provincial Office, Olongapo City police and the Naval Intelligence and Security Group-Northern Luzon.
The suspect was brought to the CIDG Zambales PFU before the warrant is returned to the issuing court.
