CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported significant accomplishments over the past week following sustained law enforcement operations across Central Luzon.
According to the PRO3, a total of 169 anti-drug operations were conducted, leading to the arrest of 244 suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs valued at P4,352,050.40.
Among the recovered items include 638.81 grams of suspected shabu, 61.30 grams of marijuana leaves, and four grams of marijuana plants, keeping dangerous substances off the streets.
In the campaign against loose guns, PRO3 men arrested 30 individuals for firearms-related offenses and recovered, surrendered, or confiscated 42 firearms for violations of Republic Act 10591.
Five firearms were voluntarily deposited for safekeeping.
Operations targeting fugitives likewise yielded positive results, with 165 wanted persons arrested, including 39 most wanted persons and 126 other wanted individuals.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. said the week’s accomplishments reflect the consistent implementation of the Philippine National Police’s Focused Agenda, particularly in strengthening police operations and accountability.
“These accomplishments show that our units remain focused on the job—going after criminals while making sure every operation is done properly and within the bounds of the law,” Peñones said.
The Central Luzon top cop emphasized that PRO3’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs, loose firearms, and wanted persons is being carried out with discipline and full respect for due process.
“We will sustain this momentum while also taking care of our personnel and continuing to work closely with our communities. Guided by the PNP Focused Agenda of acting chief PNP Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., PRO3 remains committed to protecting the people, maintaining peace and order, and upholding professionalism in all police actions,” Peñones added.
The official assured the public that police operations will continue to help keep communities in Central Luzon safe and secure.
