PILGRIMS and tourists visiting churches across the province of Laguna were offered free bread and water by the provincial government led by Governor Sol Aragones.
On Good Friday, April 3, 2026, the provincial government continues the distribution of free bread and water.
The initiative, which began on Wednesday, remains ongoing as part of the province’s observance of Semana Santa, providing support to those taking part in Visita Iglesia and other religious activities.
The effort, carried out with personnel from the Governor’s Office, extends across various churches in Laguna, ensuring that both local devotees and visiting tourists are accommodated during their spiritual journey.
Many have expressed appreciation for the continued availability of basic provisions amid long hours of prayer, reflection, and travel between churches.
Aragones said the initiative is part of Laguna’s Pilgrimage Tourism Program, which highlights the province’s historic churches and strong faith traditions while encouraging meaningful faith based travel during Holy Week.
As Good Friday unfolds, the provincial government remains present in key pilgrimage areas, reflecting its continued commitment to accompany pilgrims and tourists throughout the sacred observance.
