CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police solved the case of the killing of a 16-year-old girl whose body was found in Bustos, Bulacan following the arrest of four suspects, including the victim’s father, within 48 hours.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, Bulacan police director Col. Jay Baybayan said the case came to light on April 18, when a concerned citizen reported about a lifeless body at a grassy vacant lot near the Angat River in Bgy. San Pedro, Bustos.
Responding officers conducted an on-site investigation and confirmed that the victim was a 16-year-old girl who had been reported missing since April 11.
The victim’s body was discovered partially concealed in a grassy area near the Angat river.
As the investigation progressed, police uncovered a disturbing development as one of those taken into custody was the victim’s own father, who had earlier reported her disappearance.
Baybayin said they conducted interviews and intelligence gathering to establish the circumstances surrounding the crime.
Within 48 hours after the body’s discovery, police launched a series of hot pursuit operations based on witness accounts that led to the capture of the suspects.
Mendez reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to justice and public safety.
“This is a clear manifestation of our continuing commitment to deliver fast, honest, and felt service. We assure the public that justice will be pursued relentlessly, and those responsible will be held accountable,” Mendez said.
All suspects are facing charges of rape with homicide before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Malolos City.
