CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has filed charges against 98 of its police personnel as part of a four-month internal cleansing campaign aimed at strengthening discipline and accountability within its ranks.
The cases involved 20 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs), 77 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs), and one Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP), underscoring that disciplinary action applies across all levels of the organization.
From January 1 to April 30, 2026, PRO3 said it had resolved 73 administrative cases involving various violations.
Of the number, 13 cases resulted in dismissal from service, 36 led to suspension, 17 ended in exoneration or findings of not guilty, five resulted in reprimand, and two personnel were demoted.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez emphasized that internal discipline remains central to effective policing and public trust.
“In line with the focused agenda of PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly on integrity monitoring and organizational accountability, we continue to strengthen our internal cleansing efforts.” Mendez said.
“Discipline within the ranks is non-negotiable. We will hold accountable those who violate the law, while ensuring that due process is strictly observed,” he added.
The PRO3 reiterated its commitment to professionalism, transparency, and accountability, aligning with the PNP’s broader mission to deliver fast, honest, and felt public service — Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.
Officials said the ongoing internal cleansing program is part of a nationwide push to restore and maintain public confidence in the police force by ensuring that erring personnel are sanctioned while those who follow the law are protected.
