LUBAO, Pampanga — Unidentified gunmen on Sunday shot dead a woman and injured a man who were having dinner in their home in Bgy. Concepcion, this town.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jt. by the Pampanga police identified the fatality as Eleonor Matic, a resident of Sta. Monica, Lubao while the wounded was Jefferson Chavez, 41.
Prior to the shooting, the victims were eating inside their house when the suspects barged in and opened fire at them at around 7 p.m. on Friday.
The suspects immediately fled after the shooting.
Neighbors rushed the victims to Escolastica Romero District Hospital in Lubao, where Matic was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
Personnel of the Lubao police, with the help of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) from the Regional Forensic Unit 3, processed the crime scene and are conducting a follow-up investigation to identify and arrest the gunmen.
