CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A 24-hour operations by the Pampanga police on October 1 resulted in the arrest of seven drug peddlers and four wanted persons.
The operations were launched under the directive of Pampanga police director Col. Eugene M. Marcelo.
Seized during separate anti-drug operations across the province were 11 grams of shabu valued at P74,800.
In Arayat, a 31-year-old suspect was arrested with P6,800 worth of shabu, while police in Guagua nabbed two drug suspects and seized P2,720 worth of shabu in an operation in Bgy. Sta. Filomena.
In the town of Apalit, police arrested a street-level drug suspect and recovered P2,040 worth of shabu.
Manhunt operations also led to the capture of four wanted men.
Police in Mabalacat City arrested the province’s 10th most wanted person facing rape charges.
In San Fernando, tracker teams arrested a suspect wanted for acts of lasciviousness, with a recommended bail of ₱180,000.
Personnel of the Sto. Tomas Police Station arrested a 29-year-old accused of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while Sta. Rita police arrested a female suspect for estafa.
A separate search warrant operation by San Fernando police and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 also led to the confiscation of a cal. .45 pistol, one magazine, and four pieces of 9mm bullets from a suspect who will be charged with violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Marcelo lauded the coordinated efforts of police units in the province, stressing that the Pampanga police remains committed to eradicating illegal drugs, loose firearms, and other crimes.
“We are determined to put all wanted persons behind bars, eliminate illegal activities, and ensure public safety and security—all geared toward a peaceful and progressive Pampanga,” the Pampanga top cop said.
