CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Central Luzon marked a peaceful and orderly observance of “Undas 2025.”
Authorities said this is attributed to the unified efforts of police authorities, government agencies, and community partners across the region.
Despite the steady flow of travelers and cemetery-goers, authorities from the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported a generally calm situation, with no major untoward incidents recorded during the nationwide observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.
For several days, PRO3 personnel have been deployed across highways, bus terminals, cemeteries, and churches to guide motorists, secure routes, and assist families visiting their departed loved ones.
The regional police said their presence reflects the essence of “Serbisyong Tapat at Nararamdaman” or disciplined, compassionate, and responsive public service.
The success of the operation was anchored on the Focused Agenda of PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly on Enhanced Managing Police Operations and Strengthened Community Partnership, emphasizing preparedness, collaboration, and accountability in all police undertakings.
Under the direction of PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., more than 3,000 police personnel were mobilized as road safety marshals and assigned to Police Assistance Desks strategically located along major road networks, including NLEX, SCTEX, and TPLEX.
Red teams and area supervisors also conducted random inspections to ensure discipline, alertness, and immediate response readiness.
Peñones expressed his gratitude to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Local Government Units (LGUs), Barangay Officials, Traffic Management groups, volunteer organizations, and force multipliers for their cooperation in maintaining peace and order during the holiday.
“Peace and order are shared responsibilities. Our continuing success this Undas reflects the unity, professionalism, and dedication of every stakeholder in Central Luzon,” the official said.
Peñones added that PRO3 personnel will remain on heightened alert and continue their deployment until November 5 to assist returning travelers and ensure the safety of motorists and commuters along major thoroughfares and areas of public convergence.
