POLICE are hunting down the suspect in the gruesome murder of a grade 3 student who was found hacked dead in a bush in Bgy. Santiago 2, San Pablo City, Laguna.
Victim Gianni, 8-years-old, was discovered bloodied and lifeless near a cave in Bgy. Santiago 2.
He sustained severe wounds to the neck, abdomen, and fingers, as well as injuries to his ear, and several broken ribs.
An investigation showed the boy, who was already in his school uniform, was waiting for his father to finish bathing at 6 a.m. on Friday when he suddenly disappeared.
According to the child’s family, they thought the boy had gone ahead to school but left behind his bag.
However, when the father brought the bag to the school, he failed to find his son.
The family, along with the other villagers, searched for the boy and found him around 11 a.m. of the same day bloodied and dead in a grassy area near a cave a few meters away from his home.
The victim’s family is crying for justice.
A P150,000 was offered by the local government unit and the village officials for the immediate arrest of the killer.
