HERMOSA, Bataan — A 50-year-old woman on Wednesday was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) for unauthorized selling of LPG cylinders in this town.
Nabbed was alias “Venus,” a resident of Bgy. Balsik.
CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 chief Col. Grant Gollod said the CIDG Bataan Provincial Field Unit, along with the Hermosa police and Bataan MARPSTA, conducted the buy-bust operation under “Oplan Lira.”
She was arrested for allegedly selling LPG cylinders bearing the registered trademark of Republic Gas Corporation (REGASCO) without proper authorization.
Confiscated were 24 empty LPG cylinder tanks bearing the Regasco brand with an estimated value of P24,000, the buy-bust and boodle money, and an acknowledgment receipt.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 623 as amended by RA 5700, and Republic Act 8293 were filed against the arrested woman.
