PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has proclaimed special non-working holidays in various areas across the country throughout February to allow residents to fully participate in the celebration of local festivals and anniversaries.
Through Proclamation No. 1145, President Marcos declared February 26, 2026 a special non-working holiday in Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay to celebrate its Founding Anniversary and the BOG Festival.
The other local special non-working holidays declared this month are:
February 28, 2026 in Sarrat, llocos Norte to commemorate its Founding Anniversary, under Proclamation No. 1146;
February 2, 2026 in llocos Norte province for the celebration of its 208th Founding Anniversary, under Proclamation No. 1147;
February 28, 2026 in Tanza, Cavite for the celebration of the 112th Araw ng Tanza, under Proclamation No. 1148;
February 26, 2026 in Zamboanga City in observance of its 89th Charter Anniversary, under Proclamation No. 1149;
February 18, 2026 in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental in celebration of the Tawo-Tawo Festival, under Proclamation No. 1150;
February 2, 2026 in Ilocos Sur province commemorating its Founding Anniversary, under Proclamation No. 1151;
February 10, 2026 in Talisay, Batangas to mark its Founding Anniversary, under Proclamation No. 1152;
February 11, 2026 in Iriga City, Camarines Sur to celebrate the Tinagba Festival; under Proclamation No. 1153;
February 10, 2026 in Laoag City, llocos Norte to mark the celebration of the Pamulinawen Festival, under Proclamation No. 1154;
February 17, 2026 in Padre Burgos, Quezon province to commemorate Padre Burgos Day, under Proclamation No. 1155;
February 19, 2026 in Bago City, Negros Occidental in celebration of its 60th Charter Anniversary, under Proclamation No. 1156;
February 4, 2026 in San Fernando City, Pampanga in observance of its 25th Cityhood Anniversary; under Proclamation No. 1157;
February 13, 2026 in Parañaque City to mark the celebration of its 28th Cityhood Anniversary, under Proclamation No. 1158;
February 24, 2026 in Zamboanga Sibugay province to celebrate its 25th Founding Anniversary, under Proclamation No. 1159; and
February 27, 2026 in General Santos City to mark the celebration of the Kalilangan Festival, as stated under Proclamation No. 1160.
