{"id":10174,"date":"2024-11-23T00:39:01","date_gmt":"2024-11-22T16:39:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=10174"},"modified":"2024-11-23T00:39:01","modified_gmt":"2024-11-22T16:39:01","slug":"cdc-angeles-city-launch-scwela","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2024\/11\/23\/cdc-angeles-city-launch-scwela\/","title":{"rendered":"CDC, ANGELES CITY LAUNCH SCWELA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>BY KEVIN GALANG&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>CLARK Development Corporation (CDC), and the local government unit of Angeles City launched the Scholarship Collaboration for Workers Engaging in Learning Advancement (SCWELA) Program to promote employee growth and professional development.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>CDC president and CEO attorney Agnes VST Devanadera and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo \u201cPogi\u201d Lazatin Jr. &nbsp;on November 19 signed a memorandum of agreement to formalize the initiative held at the Clark Visitors Center.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThis will carry you through. Your career here in CDC may have started, but it will truly take off when you have the right qualifications,\u201d Devanadera said, urging scholars to maximize the opportunity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The SCWELA program aims to provide undergraduate CDC employees with opportunities to continue their education and enhance their professional growth.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI\u2019m happy that we have been supported in this program. And I thank you that we have a partner for this program,\u201d Devanadera added.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under the agreement, the City College of Angeles (CCA) will offer a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program tailored to CDC employees.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>According to the CDC Human Resources Division, 35 employees have already expressed their intent to enroll.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Flexible class schedules will be implemented to ensure participants can balance their academic pursuits with work responsibilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mayor Lazatin shared words of encouragement, reflecting on his own educational journey.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s never too late. I hope you can have the same ambition that I had \u2014 to pursue an MBA,\u201d Lazatin said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Francisco Villanueva Jr., president of CCA, emphasized the importance of continuous learning.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cNowadays, we have to keep upgrading because we live in a very dynamic world.
