PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday ushered in new opportunities for Quezon farmers by leading the distribution of E-Titles and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROMs) in Lucena City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The initiative is part of the administration\u2019s commitment to uplifting the lives of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) by easing their financial burdens and enabling them to focus on agricultural productivity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cHindi ninyo na po kailangan pang alalahanin ang mga babayaran ninyo kaugnay sa inyong lupang sinasaka. Ang iisipin na lamang ninyo kung paano ninyo mapapalago ang lupang inyong pinangangalagaan,\u201d President Marcos said during the distribution ceremony.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSa pagwawalang-bisa ng mga bayaring kaugnay sa lupang pansakahan ay maiipon ninyo at maaaring gamitin pa upang mapalago ang inyong kabuhayan. Hangad namin na magbigay-daan ang mga sertipikong ito patungo sa kaginhawahan at kasaganahan ng ating mga ARBs,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n

By providing farmers with e-titles and clearing their debts, the President expects Quezon farmers to boost their agricultural production, particularly with the province\u2019s major crops like coconut, banana, corn, pineapple and coffee.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The President further called on the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Agriculture (DA), other government agencies, as well as local government units to assist farmers in maximizing their potential through the adoption of modern farming technologies and techniques.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cKailangan natin silang gabayan sa mga makabagong pamamaraan at kagamitan sa pagsasaka,\u201d President Marcos said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cSa ating mga magsasaka, nawa po ay magamit ninyo ang aming handog hindi lamang sa inyong pag-unlad, kundi pati na rin sa pag-asenso ng inyong komunidad at ng probinsya ng Quezon,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some 15 agrarian reform beneficiaries received e-titles during the distribution ceremony, covering 30.8064 hectares of farmland. A total of 11,497 Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROMs) were also handed over to more than 9,000 ARBs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Under Republic Act No. 11953 or the New Agrarian Emancipation Act, a total of P441.71 million in ARB debts in Quezon were condoned, which include amortization, interests, and surcharges.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

More than 600 ARBs in Quezon have received e-titles since July 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n
