A NAMESAKE of the popular South Korean actor Lee Minho was arrested by Philippine immigration authorities in Clark, Pampanga.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lee, 37, was nabbed by agents of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) inside the Clark Freeport Zone last November 25.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A mission order was issued against Lee after the BI received information from South Korean authorities that he is wanted in his home country for a crime he committed five years ago.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lee allegedly conspired with other suspects in using a baseball bat to inflict serious physical injuries on a victim, which resulted in the latter\u2019s hospital confinement for several days.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A warrant of arrest was issued against him by the Suwon District Court on February 2024 for Special Bodily Injury in violation of the Criminal Act of the Republic of Korea.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He is also the subject of an Interpol red notice issued on October this year for the same case.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meanwhile, the BI also reported the arrest of 4 other fugitives last week.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Nov. 26, BI-FSU agents arrested in Lupon, Davao Oriental City Jordanian national Shalabi Nidal Mohd Suleiman, 53, an overstaying alien who is wanted in Dubai for theft.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Jordanian allegedly stole money amounting to over 110,000 Euros and 200,000 AED from his former employer.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Arrested last Nov. 27 in Makati City was Chinese fugitive Wei Xiaofeng, 28, who is wanted for illegally using equipment to invade the privacy of his victims.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He is accused of creating a Telegram account used to distribute videos illicitly recorded using hidden cameras installed in hotel establishments, capturing individuals without their knowledge or consent.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Nabbed in Pasay City last Nov. 29 were Taiwanese nationals Chen Chi-Yin, 32, and Huang Chun Fu, 31, who are wanted for fraud in Taiwan.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The duo were accused of being members of the notorious \u201cBamboo Triad\u201d syndicate involved in large-scale firearms and drug smuggling operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said that foreign fugitives have no place in the Philippines.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cOur close coordination with our foreign counterparts led to the arrest of these fugitives,\u201d said Viado.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThe Philippines is not a sanctuary for wanted foreign criminals.
