The program was based on a resolution passed by the City Council that aims to provide additional support to senior citizens of Bi\u00f1an.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dimaguila clarified that the cash assistance is separate from the P500 monthly pension provided by the national government.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to him, the local pension program is a unique initiative of Bi\u00f1an City designed to ensure adequate support for the elderly residents of the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The mayor assured the continuity of the program even if he is elected as lone district representative of Bi\u00f1an in the House of Representatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThis local pension program reflects genuine care for our senior citizens.
