THE Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) achieved its highest-ever passenger and flight volumes in 2024, signaling the growing strength of air travel in the Philippines.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n NAIA handled 50.1 million passengers last year, up by 5.08% from its previous high in 2019 before the pandemic, and 10.43% higher than in 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The airport also recorded 293,488 flights, an 8.08% increase compared to 2019 and a 4.83% rise from the year before.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n These figures exclude general aviation but shows the steady growth in demand for travel.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cMore Filipinos are flying, and more visitors are coming to the Philippines,\u201d said Ramon S. Ang, president of New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), which assumed management of the airport in September. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThis growth is a clear sign that confidence in air travel has returned, and it motivates us to work even harder.
