BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga \u2013 Police on Wednesday arrested a 26-year-old construction worker for violation of the Comelec gun ban during a routine checkpoint operation in Bgy. Pambuan, Gapan City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Members of the 303rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3) and the Gapan City Police Station (CPS) were manning a checkpoint when they flagged down a motorcycle with two individuals. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n However, the motorcycle driver fled towards Gapan City proper, leaving his passenger behind.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The passenger, later identified as \u201cJose,\u201d was apprehended and subjected to a routine search.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n During the search, “Jose” yielded an unlicensed cal. .45 pistol with four rounds of ammunition. He was arrested after he failed to present any legal document for the firearm.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cJose\u201d will be charged with\u00a0 violation of the Omnibus Election Code and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “This operation highlights our commitment to enforcing the law and maintaining peace and order. We will not tolerate any violation of election laws or firearms regulations,\u201d Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean S.
