{"id":11824,"date":"2025-02-15T01:59:24","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T17:59:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=11824"},"modified":"2025-02-15T01:59:24","modified_gmt":"2025-02-14T17:59:24","slug":"34-indonesians-illegally-detained-in-alleged-pogo-dorm-in-pasay-rescued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2025\/02\/15\/34-indonesians-illegally-detained-in-alleged-pogo-dorm-in-pasay-rescued\/","title":{"rendered":"34 INDONESIANS \u2018ILLEGALLY DETAINED\u2019 IN ALLEGED POGO DORM IN PASAY RESCUED"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong><br>AGENTS of the Presidential Anti Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) on Friday rescued 34 Indonesian nationals \u201cillegally detained\u201d in an alleged Chinese-run POGO dorm in Pasay City.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Prior to the rescue operation, the PAOCC said they initially received a rescue request from an Indonesian national claiming he was being detained inside a building in Pasay City.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The PAOCC immediately coordinated with the \u00a0Indonesian Embassy and together with members of the Southern Police District were able to find 34 Indonesians locked inside a dormitory in Pasay City.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio said &nbsp;investigation revealed a link between the alleged &nbsp;Chinese boss implicated in the illegal detention of Indonesians and POGO operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Indonesians, who were former POGO workers whose contracts were terminated on January 21, told PAOCC that they refused to join the Chinese boss to &nbsp;Cambodia and pleaded instead to be allowed to return to their homeland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe were able to find the two bosses and her administrative officer.
