PHILIPPINE National Police -Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III on Monday filed before the Department of Justice (DOJ) <\/strong>inciting to sedition and unlawful utterances against former President Rodrigo Duterte over his remarks to \u201ckill\u201d senators.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Torre, the former president\u2019s statement should not be taken lightly.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAlam ninyo bagong Pilipinas na, eh. Hindi na pwede \u2018yung mga gano’ng statements na kinabukasan joke only na lang,\u201d Torre said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Torre said if the Senate of the Philippines building is attacked or if some senators are killed or assassinated, the former president cannot just say he did not order it and that it was just a figure of speech.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThat is unacceptable,\u201d said Torre.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n During the PDP-Laban proclamation rally, Duterte said all PDP-Laban candidates would get a seat in the Senate if 15 senators were killed.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Senator Ronald dela Rosa, the Duterte administration’s first PNP chief and now running for reelection under Duterte’s PDP Laban party, has said the former president was only joking.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSo, i-formalize natin. File natin ang kaso at tingnan natin ang kanyang sagot sa kasong isinampang sa kanya,\u201d Torre said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Torre added that neither the Senate nor Malaca\u00f1ang instructed him to file complaints of inciting to sedition and unlawful utterances against Duterte.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cHindi namin kailangan ang Senado, hindi namin kailangan ang Malaca\u00f1ang dito para mai-file ang kaso na ito. I don’t think Malaca\u00f1ang should get involved in this dahil ito naman ay pure law enforcement. Ang pulis ay law enforcer, so may nakikita tayong violation of law, said the CIDG chief.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He added that PNP chief Gen.
