CESAR Chavez has resigned from his post as Acting Secretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Chavez on Thursday made the confirmation, saying he will vacate the office on Feb. 28 or anytime earlier when his replacement is appointed.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to him, he submitted his \u201cirrevocable\u201d resignation on Feb. 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He said had spoken to former journalist Jay Ruiz who will serve as his successor.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “However, I will not be signing out as a believer in this administration, whose vision I will continue to support as I pursue endeavors outside of government but still within the realm of public service,” he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Chavez was appointed as acting PCO chief on Sept. 5, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the opportunity to serve, saying it is \u201can honor of a lifetime.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Chavez added that he would introduce Ruiz to the PCO Management Committee on Feb. 24.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ruiz will serve as the fourth PCO head under the Marcos administration.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" CESAR Chavez has resigned from his post as Acting Secretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
