A BIOLOGY student and beauty queen on Thursday died in a fire that hit the Laguna State Polytechnic University College of Arts and Sciences in Bgy. Bubukal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The victim was identified as Trisha Macalagay, an official of the Supreme Student Council, and Miss Paete Tourism in 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Her body was found in the comfort room during clearing operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Investigation showed the fire started at the laboratory room of the College of Arts and Sciences  at 12:43 p.m. on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Firefighters immediately responded.  They were able to contain the blaze before 7.pm..<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Officials are still determining the cause of the fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n
