This as the LTO ramps up their production in their plate-making plant.<\/p>\n

LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, said the plate-making plant would be in \u201cfull production\u201d to address the backlog on license plates.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to him, vehicle owners would no longer wait for months or even years to get their license plates.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you buy a car today, your plate will be available in 10 days. If you buy a motorcycle, it will be available immediately,\u201d Mendoza said.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He said the plant had improved its operation from five to eight plate-making machines.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cThey will reach 32,000 plates production a day. We will announce very soon, within the week upon DOTr (Department of Transportation) approval, na kaya na nating tugunan (what we can accomplish),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He added that the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS)\u2014the LTO\u2019s online transactions tool\u2014will be \u201c100 percent operational\u201d within October.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mendoza said that LTFRB regional directors and district officers were instructed on the complete migration of LTO public services to the LTMS.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

He explained that the shift to digitalization is aimed at providing more efficient and effective services to the public. <\/p>\n
