FROM chichiria to Team Amoy Asim.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n House Deputy Majority Leader Francisco Paolo Ortega V on Sunday released another batch of questionable names allegedly listed as recipients of confidential funds from the Department of Education (DepEd) during the leadership of Vice President Sara Duterte.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ortega said that the \u201cBudol Gang\u201d allegedly involved in the misuse of Duterte\u2019s P612.5 million confidential funds appears to be expanding, with the emergence of a new group dubbed as \u201cTeam Amoy Asim.\u201d<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSa patuloy na pagsusuri ng Kongreso sa listahan ng mga nakatanggap ng confidential funds sa DepEd, may bagong grupo na naman\u2014ang tinatawag nating \u2018Team Amoy Asim,\u2019\u201d Ortega said.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He said the <\/strong>new set of names, which he dubbed \u201cTeam Amoy Asim,\u201d includes \u201cAmoy Liu,\u201d \u201cFernan Amuy,\u201d and \u201cJoug De Asim.\u201d<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The names add to a growing list of suspicious names allegedly used to justify millions in confidential fund allocations used under the DepEd.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Apart from the now-notorious \u201cMary Grace Piattos,\u201d other \u201cBudol Gang\u201d members have also been revealed including \u201cRenan Piatos,\u201d \u201cPia Piatos-Lim,\u201d \u201cXiaome Ocho,\u201d \u201cJay Kamote,\u201d \u201cMiggy Mango\u201d and five individuals all named \u201cDodong\u201d as alleged beneficiaries of the Office of the Vice President\u2019s (OVP) confidential funds. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Ortega, Liu, Amuy, and De Asim have no birth, marriage, or death records in the Philippine Statistics Authority\u2019s (PSA) database. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ortega said the names were submitted by the OVP and the DepEd to the Commission on Audit (COA).\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Their absence from public records raises serious questions about the legitimacy of the fund disbursements,” he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cUna, may chichiria, may cellphone, at may prutas. Joel Chua, chair of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, also revealed earlier that 405 out of the 677 names listed as beneficiaries of DepEd\u2019s confidential funds under Vice President Duterte have no birth records, a clear indication that the names were fabricated.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAnong klaseng payroll ito? Imposible ang ganito kung sumusunod sa tamang proseso,\u201d Ortega stressed.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Despite repeated requests for an explanation, the Vice President has not provided a clear answer. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n When asked about the questionable names during an interview in The Hague, Netherlands, VP Duterte claimed she could not verify the documents due to doubts about the chain of evidence.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ortega dismissed this as another attempt to evade accountability.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cKung maayos ang sistema, bakit parang magic na lang na napunta ang pera sa mga pangalan na wala namang pagkatao?
