BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga \u2013The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) sent to jail 65 terror group members during its operations from January 10 to March 31.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The arrests were part of the PRO3\u2019s intensified campaign against communist terror groups (CTGs).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Some 40 former rebels returned to the fold of the law while 84 individuals withdrew their support for the communist insurgency, signaling a growing public commitment to peace and stability. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The shift underscores increasing awareness of the long-term consequences of rebellion and the benefits of a violence-free future.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Likewise, 68 firearms were voluntarily surrendered, weakening the armed capabilities of CTGs while 20 explosives were seized, preventing potential attacks and enhancing public safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo lauded her men for the accomplishments.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThese achievements highlight the strength of our whole-of-nation approach. With the support of our partner agencies and the community, we are dismantling terrorist structures while offering former rebels a path to a peaceful and productive life.
