WITH <\/strong>the ongoing expansion of the country\u2019s digital infrastructure, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured the Filipino people that internet access will reach all areas of the Philippines\u2014including remote islands and mountainous regions\u2014by the end of this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cItong taon na ito, lahat ng mga lugar na hindi makabitan ng internet, makakabitan na,\u201d President Marcos said his speech on Saturday in Batangas City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The President emphasized that his goal is to achieve digital connectivity for every Filipino before the end of his term.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAt aking layunin na bago ako umalis sa aking opisina, bawat Pilipino ay may internet na kahit saan man sila\u2014sa taas ng bundok, sa isla na malayo\u2014mayroon po sila dahil kailangang-kailangan,\u201d the Chief Executive said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to President Marcos, the project is just one part of his administration\u2019s broader initiative to bring progress to every corner of the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He noted that providing internet infrastructure nationwide is only one of the many programs currently being implemented.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Chief Executive stressed that his administration could not have achieved these goals alone, as he expressed gratitude to the local government officials, government partners and stakeholders who played key roles in carrying out the initiatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n From the beginning of his term, the President vowed that one of his administration\u2019s top priorities is to create a \u201cDigital Philippines,\u201d a vision expected to open more opportunities in education, health, and livelihood, especially for remote communities long deprived of access to modern technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" WITH the ongoing expansion of the country’s digital infrastructure, President Ferdinand R.
