MALACA\u00d1ANG on Wednesday announced the dismissal of another Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) official amid the ongoing investigation into the agency\u2019s controversial P1.4-billion land acquisition deal.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro disclosed that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. also sacked OWWA Deputy Administrator Emma V. Sinclair in connection with the anomalous land deal which was allegedly not authorized by the OWWA Board.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Castro said the removal of two senior officials from OWWA serves as a warning to all public servants to perform their duties with professionalism, honesty, and integrity.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n She said President Marcos dismissed the two OWWA officials following their alleged involvement in the questionable P1.4 billion land mess.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said a thorough investigation into the matter is ongoing.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIto lamang po ay isang senyales.
