PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Sunday said the government will soon launch the state-of-the-art national emergency hotline as an integral part of his administration\u2019s campaign against criminality.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In a video message on his YouTube channel, President Marcos stressed the priority of keeping the public safe and secure from criminals.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sinimulan natin ang pagde-deploy ng mas maraming pulis o \u2018yung tinatawag nating \u2018Cops on the Beat,\u2019\u201d said the President in his \u201cBBMVLOG #270: Mga Pagbabago.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cGinagawa na rin itong emergency hotline natin at sigurado ako in just a few weeks, baka sa Hulyo pwede na, ay ma-launch na namin ito,\u201d the Chief Executive stressed.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The President also cited new Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III\u2019s campaign for increased police visibility and a five-minute response time in case of an emergency.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Unified 911 Emergency System is set to go live next month, starting in the National Capital Region (NCR), Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Ilocos Region, and Central Visayas.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said the emergency hotline utilizes cutting-edge technology to ensure a quick response from frontline units, such as the PNP and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), while screening prank and nuisance calls.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n During the vlog, the President also listened to some feedback about the renewed police presence in the streets, and noted the considerable service to the public when they feel secure.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n One college student said: \u201cMas magiging comfy tayo to walk alone, knowing na may mga pulis na naka-surround sa iyo.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Another woman said: \u201cPag magtatanong kami sa mga pulis, alam namin na secure kami.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n President Marcos\u2019 order to keep the public safe against crime is part of his administration\u2019s focus on making life easier for the public.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIyan naman ang pangunahing direksyon na inilatag natin sa ating Gabinete: paano ba natin pagiginhawain ang buhay ng bawat Pilipino,\u201d the President said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" PRESIDENT Ferdinand R.
