Cruz, Zambales.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr., the Zambales police identified the victims as Bryan Ebuen, 19, and his brother Kenneth, 17, both residents of Bgy. Tubo-Tubo South, Sta. Cruz, Zambales.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The drowning occurred in Bayto River located in Purok 6, Bgy. Tubo-Tubo South, Sta. Cruz, Zambales.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>An investigation showed a tricycle got stuck on the other side of the river. Kenneth helped the trike driver to cross the river but on his way back, he was suddenly swept away by a strong water current.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bryan, who saw Kenneth submerging, attempted to rescue his younger brother. However, both were drowned.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Sta. Cruz was asked to help rescue the siblings.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The lifeless body of Bryan was later&nbsp; found while rescue operation is ongoing to locate the body of Kenneth.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BY KEVIN GALANG&nbsp; TWO teenage brothers on Thursday drowned while crossing a river in Sta.
