Nicolas Torre III on Wednesday thanked the local government units in Central Luzon for the support to the PNP\u2019s 5-minute response time initiative.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Torre on Wednesday visited the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) for the ceremonial turnover of equipment for the police in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The event was highlighted by the pledge of support to the PNP\u2019s 5-minute response time initiative from the provincial government of Bulacan led by Gov. Daniel Fernando.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Bulacan provincial government donated 100 units of radio communications system, drone, 24 motorcycle units and a vehicle to the BPPO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The BPPO also received<\/strong><strong> 24 drones (1 unit for each city and municipal police station), and rice packs for all Bulacan police personnel.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>To demonstrate the operational impact of the initiative, a simulation exercise (SIMEX) was conducted in Bgy. Calero, a coastal area in Malolos City, showcasing the efficiency of the deployed equipment and trained personnel.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Notably, the Malolos City police personnel responded in under three minutes, proving the feasibility of the PNP\u2019s response time goal.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, City of San Fernando, Pampanga Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag turned over 18 new smartphones to the City of San Fernando police to boost real-time communication and field operations.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>This is in addition to the 455 handheld radios procured by the&nbsp; Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) headed by Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio <\/strong><em><strong>Pe\u00f1ones&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><strong> Jr.&nbsp; to enhance communication capabilities across Central Luzon.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Pe\u00f1ones<\/strong><\/em><strong> emphasized that these efforts are anchored on the PNP\u2019s three pillars &#8212; Swift and Responsive Response with a focus on swift and responsive public service &#8212;&nbsp; as well as PRO3\u2019s strategic direction to &#8220;Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.&#8221;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWith the support of our local government units, we are strengthening our ability to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of our communities. These resources will help our police stations perform their duties with greater efficiency,\u201d &nbsp;the official said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Torre lauded the cooperation between the LGUs and the PNP in Central Luzon, calling it essential to enhancing police capabilities and ensuring public safety.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhat we see today is local governance working hand-in-hand with the police to protect and serve the public.
