A “greyhound” operation was launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency inside the Manila City Jail Annex at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.<\/p>\n

The operation, led by members of the PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region K9 Unit and PDEA-RO-NCR Seaport Interdiction Unit, along with the personnel of the BJMP Manila City Jail Annex, resulted in the seizure of 11 grams of shabu and dried marijuana leaves.<\/p>\n

Some 49 sachets of shabu, five sachets of marijuana and drug paraphernalias were seized from one inmate.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The raiding team said the drugs were hidden in the slippers of an inmate, a known member of the Commando gang.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The PDEA-NCR said the inmate has been jailed for illegal possession of drugs, robbery, and illegal possession of a firearm. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In the continuation of the search, the raiding team found another eight small sachets of shabu in a trash can.<\/p>\n
