BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – An\u00a0\u00a0alleged leader of a notorious crime group involved in drug trafficking and carnapping on Wednesday was arrested in a joint police operation in Tarlac.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio <\/strong>Pe\u00f1ones<\/strong> Jr., arrested was alias \u201cAzan,\u201d a<\/strong> \u00a0\u201chigh-value individual\u201d (HVI) and alleged leader of the “Salazar Criminal Gang@ involved in illegal drugs and carnapping in Tarlac.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The suspect was arrested in Brgy. Buenlag, Gerona town by <\/strong>joint elements of the Gerona police, Provincial Intelligence Unit-Tarlac, Provincial Highway Patrol Team Tarlac, Regional Special Operations Group 3-Regional Intelliegence Division, 21st Special Action Company, 2nd Special Action Battalion, Provincial Intelligence Team Tarlac and the Regional Intelligence Unit 3.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Alias \u201cAzan\u201d was nabbed based on a warrant for carnapping issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 63, Tarlac City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Pe\u00f1ones<\/strong> lauded the successful operation, stressing its alignment with the directives of acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThe arrest of this \u2019high-value individual\u2019 demonstrates our commitment to protecting our communities from criminal syndicates. In line with the 9-point program of acting PNP chief Lt. Gen.
