Consuelo, Macabebe, Pampanga<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr. by the Pampanga police identified the victim as Alexander Salonga, a 52-year-old resident of Dalusong, Bgy. Consuelo, Macabebe town.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Salonga suffered severe burnt wounds on his body.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Witnesses told police that Salonga was feeding milkfish when a powerful lightning bolt struck the area.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fishpond caretaker Arlyn dela Cruz of Hagonoy, Bulacan said they later found the victim submerged in water where he had been working.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Salonga was rushed to the Macabebe District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BY KEVIN GALANG A FISHERMAN died after being struck by lightning while tending to his fishpond in Bgy.
