Maria and Bocaue in Bulacan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bulacan police officer-in-charge Col. Angel Garci Llano said the Sta. Maria police acted on an information from a concerned citizen about an illegal fireworks operation on Fausto St., Bgy. Pulong Buhangin in Sta. Maria town.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responding lawmen caught two women in the act of producing firecrackers without the required permits.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Llano\u00a0 identified the arrested suspects in their aliases as \u201cRhea,\u201d 31, and \u201cAu,\u201d 33, both residents of Bgy. Pulong Buhangin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Confiscated from the duo were three boxes of unfinished \u201ckwitis\u201d valued at around P8,000, and a drill used in the manufacture of firecrackers.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Earlier that same day, operatives from Bocaue arrested a fireworks maker identified as \u201cJohn John,\u201d 22, of Bgy. Bi\u00f1ang 1st, Bocaue.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Authorities received a tip from a concerned citizen about the illegal production of \u201cbaby rockets\u201d in the area. Upon verification, police caught the suspect in the act of manufacturing fireworks without a valid license from the PNP-Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Seized were 23 kilograms of potassium chlorate, cylinder parts of baby rockets, and several finished products.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All arrested suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 7183 or the Law on Firecrackers and Pyrotechnic Devices..<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I.
