Ako ang magtatapos.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said Friday that former Ako Bicol Party-List Rep. Zaldy Co and 17 others face warrants of arrest after they were indicted on graft charges in connection with flood control corruption.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a message on his official social media account, President Marcos said warrants of arrest have been issued against Co and 17 other individuals from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Sunwest Corporation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Office of the Ombudsman filed charges against Co and 17 others based on the evidence gathered by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) and the DPWH, said the President.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHindi po ito haka-haka. Hindi po ito kuwento. Ito po ay tunay na ebidensya,\u201d said the President.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>President Marcos said law enforcement authorities will serve the arrest warrants against those charged, who will not be given special treatment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cAt ang susunod na hakbang, wala nang paligoy-ligoy pa. Ang ating mga awtoridad, siyempre ipapatupad na nila itong mga arrest warrant na ito. Aarestuhin na sila, ihaharap sa korte, at pananagutin sa batas,\u201d the Chief Executive said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWalang special na pagtrato, walang sinasanto.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>President Marcos said the investigation will continue in order to hold accountable those who illegally profited from anomalous flood control and other infrastructure projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cKaya\u2019t asahan po ninyo na wala pong tigil itong aming ginagawa, kahit na parang napakatagal ang dumaan na panahon, ako ay nagpapasalamat sa pasensiya ng ating mga kababayan ngunit nagbunga na ng resulta ang mga pasensiya ninyo,\u201d the President said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The President during the Fourth State of the Nation Address last July 28 denounced the massive corruption in flood control projects and created the ICI last September 11 to pursue the investigation into irregularities in flood control as well as other government infrastructure projects during the last 10 years. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&ldquo;AKO ang nagsimula nitong lahat.
