{"id":17780,"date":"2025-12-09T22:29:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T14:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=17780"},"modified":"2025-12-09T22:29:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T14:29:08","slug":"bulacan-hospital-fire-leaves-patient-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2025\/12\/09\/bulacan-hospital-fire-leaves-patient-dead\/","title":{"rendered":"BULACAN HOSPITAL FIRE LEAVES PATIENT DEAD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A FIRE on Monday hit a hospital in Pulilan, Bulacan leaving a patient \u00a0confined in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) \u00a0dead.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A report from the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) identified the fatality as Marcelino Leonardo, a retired police officer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonardo, who was confined at the ICU of the Our Lady of Mercy General Hospital in Bgy.Longos, died minutes after he was rescued and taken out of the building.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Seventeen other patients were safely evacuated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The rescued patients were transferred to La Consolacion General Hospital and Marcelo Padilla Hospital in the neighboring Plaridel town.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>An investigation showed the fire started at 2:24 a.m. Monday on the second floor of the hospital and was declared out at 5:40 a.m..<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arson probers are determining the cause of fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; A FIRE on Monday hit a hospital in Pulilan, Bulacan leaving a patient &nbsp;confined in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) &nbsp;dead.
