NAGPAHAYAG ang Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) sa “Batang Quiapo” producers ng pagkadismaya dahil umano sa hindi magandang pagsasalarawan ng kanilang agency at ng mga opisyal nito.<\/p>\n

Dahil dito, bumisita ang lead actor na si Coco Martin kasama si Mark Lapid at ABS CBN chief operating officer Cory Vidanes kay BuCor Director General Grogorio Pio Catapang Jr. to address concerns of the bureau.<\/p>\n

Humingi ng apology si Coco at in-assure ang BuCor na wala silang intention ma-offend ng agency at ang personnel nito.<\/p>\n

\u201cKaya po kami nandito ngayon para personal po na humingi ng paumanhin pero wala po kaming intensyon na manira or makasakit. \u2018Wag po kayong mag alala at lahat naman po ng yan ay binabalanse natin,\u201d paliwanag ni. Coco kay BuCor chief Catapang.<\/p>\n

Sa parte naman ni Catapang, he wants to see in the popular television series that \u201cgood will triumph against evil.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to seeing those characters who are playing villains in your series will be exposed and persecuted or redeem themselves to show to the public that crime does not pay and the long arm of the law will catch up for those who disregarded it,\u201d ayon sa BuCor chief.<\/p>\n

BuCor said the actors and the network executive made the courtesy call in response to the letter sent to them by BuCor Deputy Director General Al Perreras.<\/p>\n

The bureau explained Perreras \u201creceived insistent clamor from Bucor officials and employees themselves who had seen the program and called their attention on the misleading concepts about the bureau as portrayed in said tv series and requested the people behind the show to immediately refrain from depicting scenes that malign the reputation of the agency and its employees.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile the show makes use of a different agency appellation, it cannot be helped but notice that the same makes a clear and undeniable reference to the National Penitentiary, which this Bureau represents and hence, may affect or influence the perceptions of the viewers about our agency,\u201d ani Perreras sa sulat.<\/p>\n
