A CHINESE woman was rescued while her kidnappers were arrested in a police operation in Panglao, Bohol Tuesday, October 24.<\/p>\n

Rescued was Chen Ying, a 53-year-old resident of Lijiangqiao, Chansu City in Jiangsu, China. According to Police Regional Office 7 director Brig. Gen.\u00a0\u00a0Anthony A. Aberin Jr., Ying was rescued in an operation in Bgy. Poblacion in Panglao around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Nabbed were four Chinese men and their two Filipino accomplices. Aberin identified the arrested suspects as Chinese nationals Hong Tianfuy, Deng Ru You,34; Wang Lie,33; and Long Qingqing, 34; \u00a0and their Pinoy cohorts Roberson Atienza, 35, a resident of V. Mapa St., Sta. Mesa, Manila and Jonel Olayres, 23, of Tramo St., Pasay City. <\/p>\n

Police said Tianfuy is a resident of 1500 Roxas Boulevard in Ermita, Manila while the three other Chinese nationals all came from Mainland China. Prior to the rescue operation, members of the Panglao Municipal Police Station got a report regarding a possible case of kidnapping and serious illegal detention. <\/p>\n

The report said the victim was last seen in Dauis, Bohol last October 18. Aberin said that officers conducted a full backtracking in the area, reviewed all available CCTV footages and interviewed witnesses leading to the identification of the suspects and their whereabouts. <\/p>\n

The official said\u00a0\u00a0that in coordination with the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group, operatives of the Bohol Police Provincial Office, the Panglao Municipal Police Station, and the Bohol Provincial Mobile Force Company launched the rescue operation. <\/p>\n

Seized from the suspects were two cal. .45 semi-automatic pistols. Two vehicles, one of which is owned by the victim, were also recovered during the operation.<\/p>\n

Aberin said the victim was turned over to her family upon a medical checkup. \u201cWe got the initial information that the suspects were able to get ransom money from the family of the victim through bank transfer,\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Aberin said. <\/p>\n

The official added that they are already coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy about their investigation into the incident. Appropriate criminal charges are already being readied for filing in court against the arrested suspects.<\/p>\n
