Gen. Ponce Rogelio Pe\u00f1ones Jr., the move aims to ensure public safety and promote an injury-free New Year celebration through regulated and closely monitored venues for firecracker sales and fireworks displays.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The list of authorized zones remains subject to change pending further validation, compliance monitoring, and coordination with concerned local government units (LGUs) and regulatory agencies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pe\u00f1ones reiterated his strong warning against the use, sale, and distribution of illegal firecrackers, stressing that strict enforcement of existing laws and regulations will be implemented throughout the holiday period.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A total of 196 authorized community firecracker selling zones have been identified across the region, distributed as follows: Aurora \u2013 13; Bataan \u2013 5; Bulacan \u2013 73; Nueva Ecija \u2013 28; Pampanga \u2013 24; Tarlac \u2013 14; and Zambales \u2013 39.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, 153 authorized fireworks display zones have been designated, broken down as: Aurora \u2013 2; Bataan \u2013 3; Bulacan \u2013 69; Nueva Ecija \u2013 27; Pampanga \u2013 16; Tarlac \u2013 8; Zambales \u2013 26; and Angeles City \u2013 2.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThese designated zones are meant to provide safe and regulated venues for holiday celebrations while significantly reducing the risk of firecracker-related injuries,\u201d Pe\u00f1ones said. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe once again appeal to the public to refrain from using illegal firecrackers and instead welcome the New Year through safer and more responsible forms of merriment,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The official said the initiative is part of PRO3\u2019s implementation of the Philippine National Police\u2019s Focused Agenda under acting PNP chief Lt. Gen.
