Gen. Ponce Rogelio Pe\u00f1ones Jr., the arrest of the suspect came following a burglary at an Alfamart\u00a0\u00a0branch in Bgy. Dampulan, Jaen in Nueva Ecija at 4:30 a.m. Monday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>An investigation showed the suspects forcibly entered the establishment by destroying its roll-up door using a bolt cutter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The suspects fled in a van with the convenience store\u2019s vault containing P82,600 in cash, assorted grocery items<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>worth P12,000, and an electronic payment kiosk.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The robbery was immediately reported to the local police, who promptly activated flash alarms, hot-pursuit operations, GPS tracking, and CCTV backtracking.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The coordinated efforts led to the recovery of the stolen electronic payment kiosk later that morning at a grassy area on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Marilao, Bulacan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pursuit operations continued and led operatives to a residential area in Novaliches, Quezon City.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Members of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, in coordinatin with the Quezon City Police District, arrested the suspects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Seized were firearms and tools used in the commission of the robberies, suspected illegal drugs, the suspects\u2019 getaway vehicle, and various stolen items, including vaults.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Further investigation revealed that the arrested\u00a0 suspects were also linked to earlier robbery incidents that took place on January 2 in Quezon City.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Robbed were two gasoline stations in Quezon City from which vaults containing approximately P72,000 and P340,000 were stolen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The arrested suspects were brought to the Jaen Police Station for proper investigation, documentation, and filing of appropriate criminal charges.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pe\u00f1ones commended the police units involved for their persistence and effective inter-agency coordination, highlighting the vital role of QCPD personnel in the successful operation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cFrom the initial report to the arrest of the suspects, this case underscores the importance of continuous pursuit, timely information sharing, and close coordination among police units. The contribution of QCPD personnel was instrumental in locating the suspects and recovering the stolen items,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pe\u00f1ones said the successful resolution of the case aligns with the Philippine National Police\u2019s Focused Agenda under PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C.
