{"id":18348,"date":"2026-01-21T10:28:49","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T02:28:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=18348"},"modified":"2026-01-21T10:28:49","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T02:28:49","slug":"pro3-logs-steady-gains-in-weekly-anti-crime-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2026\/01\/21\/pro3-logs-steady-gains-in-weekly-anti-crime-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"PRO3 LOGS STEADY GAINS IN WEEKLY ANTI-CRIME DRIVE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga \u2014 The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported significant accomplishments over the past week following sustained law enforcement operations across Central Luzon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>According to the PRO3, a total of 169 anti-drug operations were conducted, leading to the arrest of 244 suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs valued at P4,352,050.40.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Among the recovered items include 638.81 grams of suspected shabu, 61.30 grams of marijuana leaves, and four grams of marijuana plants, keeping dangerous substances off the streets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In the campaign against loose guns, PRO3 men arrested 30 individuals for firearms-related offenses and recovered, surrendered, or confiscated 42 firearms for violations of Republic Act 10591.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Five firearms were voluntarily deposited for safekeeping.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Operations targeting fugitives likewise yielded positive results, with 165 wanted persons arrested, including 39 most wanted persons and 126 other wanted individuals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Pe\u00f1ones Jr. said the week\u2019s accomplishments reflect the consistent implementation of the Philippine National Police\u2019s Focused Agenda, particularly in strengthening police operations and accountability.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThese accomplishments show that our units remain focused on the job\u2014going after criminals while making sure every operation is done properly and within the bounds of the law,\u201d Pe\u00f1ones said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Central Luzon top cop emphasized that PRO3\u2019s intensified campaign against illegal drugs, loose firearms, and wanted persons is being carried out with discipline and full respect for due process.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe will sustain this momentum while also taking care of our personnel and continuing to work closely with our communities. Guided by the PNP Focused Agenda of acting chief PNP Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C.
