Marcos Jr. on Thursday assured the public that he is in good health and fully capable of performing his duties, as his recent medical condition is neither serious nor life-threatening.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a video statement, President Marcos said he was diagnosed with diverticulitis, which is very common among older people.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI\u2019m fine. I\u2019m feeling very different from the way I was feeling before. Naayos na \u2018yung problema,\u201d said the President.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhat happened was apparently, I now have diverticulitis. It\u2019s a common complaint amongst apparently people who are heavily stressed, and people (who) are \u2013 I have to admit \u2013 growing old,\u201d the President continued during a brief conversation with Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a statement earlier in the day, Malaca\u00f1ang said President Marcos spent the night under medical observation as a precaution after experiencing discomfort, but said the President\u2019s condition is stable and he has returned to the Palace to continue his duties.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>When asked by Castro whether doctors advised him to slow down from being overworked, the President said, \u201cWell, yeah, of course, lagi naman sinasabi ng doktor sa akin \u2018yun. Pero papaano mo naman gagawin \u2018yun ang daming trabaho?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>President Marcos pointed out there was no reason to worry, shrugging off speculation about his condition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIt\u2019s not a life-threatening condition\u2026 Huwag kayong mag-alala. The rumors of my death are highly exaggerated,\u201d the President quipped.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PRESIDENT Ferdinand R.
