Gen. Jess B. Mendez said the move is in line with the directive of Philippine National Police chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. to strengthen police operations and enhance public service delivery.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mendez said the region\u2019s police force will be placed on heightened alert from March 29 to May 31, 2026, as thousands of travelers are expected to flock to tourist destinations across Central Luzon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cOur priority is to ensure the safety of the public by increasing police visibility and proactively deploying personnel in key areas,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Authorities will intensify foot and mobile patrols and set up Police Assistance Desks and Centers (PADs\/PACs) in major convergence areas such as bus terminals, airports, seaports, highways, and tourist spots.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Road Safety Marshals will also be stationed along major routes to manage traffic and assist motorists, ensuring smoother and safer travel during the peak season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Central Luzon top cop directed all unit commanders to strengthen coordination with local government units, partner agencies, non-government organizations, and volunteer groups to ensure a unified approach to public safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Force multipliers, including Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) and radio net groups, will also be mobilized to support law enforcement, particularly in crowded areas where criminal activities may occur.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cSecurity is a shared responsibility.
