CAMP CAPTAIN JULIAN OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez on Wednesday personally inspected major bus terminals in Central Luzon to assess the readiness of police personnel and security measures amid the Holy Week travel rush.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Central Luzon top cop conducted on-site inspections focusing on security protocols, police deployment, and public assistance mechanisms to ensure safety in high-traffic areas.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mendez also boarded a bus to engage directly with drivers and passengers, promoting safe travel practices and strengthening police-community relations.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The PRO3 chief said the inspections are complemented by heightened police visibility and security coverage in key areas such as transport terminals, malls, churches, and other convergence points.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He said Police Assistance Desks (PADs) and Motorist Assistance Desks (MADs) have also been activated along major highways to provide immediate aid to travelers.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

To further ensure operational readiness, \u201cred teaming\u201d activities are being carried out across the region by area inspectors from the PRO3 Regional Staff under the supervision of the Command Group.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

These efforts aim to assess deployment, identify gaps, and promptly address any lapses on the ground.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

He emphasized that these proactive measures align with the Philippine National Police\u2019s Focused Agenda, particularly in enhancing police visibility, ensuring operational readiness, and strengthening community engagement during peak travel periods.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n
