{"id":19490,"date":"2026-04-07T15:01:45","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T07:01:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=19490"},"modified":"2026-04-07T15:01:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T07:01:45","slug":"lpg-prices-hit-p1600-per-11-kg-cylinder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2026\/04\/07\/lpg-prices-hit-p1600-per-11-kg-cylinder\/","title":{"rendered":"LPG PRICES HIT P1,600 PER 11-KG CYLINDER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRICES of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has hit as high as P1,600 per 11-kilogram cylinder.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This after Republic Gas Corporation (REGASCO) on Monday implemented the last installment of its price increase for LPG for the month of April.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The upward adjustment was due to the <\/strong><strong>soaring global shipping costs and \u00a0increased international contract prices,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>REGASCO, in an advisory, said it will implement a staggered price adjustment for the month of April amounting to P16 per kilogram, with the final installment implemented on Monday, April 6, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The amount would translate to a P176 increase for 11-kilogram cylinders.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>With the increase, the suggested retail price for the company\u2019s 11-kilogram cylinders in Luzon is now P1,600.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Petron Corp. and Solane earlier announced double-digit price hikes for LPG.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The LPG Markets Association (LPGMA) earlier warned that prices for an 11-kg tank could hit as high as P1,500\u00a0in April due to rising shipping costs aggravated by the limited access to the Strait of Hormuz.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As of March 2026, the Department of\u00a0 Energy (DOE) latest available \u00a0data showed that the price of an 11-kilogram cylinder ranged between P818.62 and P1,128.62.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PRICES of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has hit as high as P1,600 per 11-kilogram cylinder.
