THE provincial police director of Batangas is facing administrative cases before the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) after a policewoman accused him of abusing his authority being a superior.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The female police officer personally filed the alleged grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer charges before NAPOLCOM against Batangas Police Provincial Director Col. Marlon Ventura Rufo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The complaint, executed through a sworn affidavit, details a series of alleged incidents that occurred between February and March 2026, involving unwelcome physical contact, inappropriate remarks, and actions that caused distress to the complainant, reportedly committed in the course of official duties and within police premises. <\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the affidavit, the respondent, being a senior-ranking official, allegedly took advantage of his position of authority, raising serious concerns on abuse of power, workplace safety, and professional conduct within the police organization. <\/strong><\/p>\n

NAPOLCOM confirmed that the complaint is now under its jurisdiction and will undergo the proper administrative proceedings in accordance with existing laws and regulations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Commission emphasized that complaints of this nature, particularly those involving women in uniform, will be handled with urgency, impartiality, and due process, ensuring that all parties are accorded their rights while upholding accountability within the ranks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) director Brig. Gen. Hansel M. Marantan reaffirmed the Philippine National Police\u2019s commitment to professionalism, accountability, and due process following the filing of an administrative complaint before the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) involving a police officer in Batangas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marantan said that upon being informed of the incident, he immediately ordered a thorough and impartial investigation and ensured that the matter was referred to the proper authorities, including NAPOLCOM, which now has jurisdiction over the case.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He also confirmed that he personally reached out to the complainant to assure her that her concerns would be addressed with fairness, sensitivity, and in accordance with established procedures.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of standard administrative protocol, the officer concerned has been placed under appropriate status pending the outcome of the investigation. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Marantan emphasized that this measure is necessary to preserve the integrity of the process and to ensure that all parties are treated justly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Calabarzon top cop underscored that all actions taken by the police are guided by existing laws and institutional protocols, stressing that any determination of liability will be based strictly on facts and evidence.<\/strong><\/p>\n
